Brief:

Physics Invaders is an arcade mix of both Space Invaders and Arkanoid/Breakout with a physics based twist. It was made using the Unity engine (C#).

Description:

Physics Invaders was a project where I gave myself the task of creating a game with physics as the main gameplay element. I decided on using the game Space Invaders as an initial starting point. This is because I thought it would interesting to see a well known game be slightly modified and have its core gameplay be changed dramatically. The Arkanoid style bricks were added for the players protection as the coloured layers of bricks were a very simple and informative way of showing the player how much protection they had left. I also experimented with shaders during this project in order to achieve a classic CRT/scanlines look to the game.
